Meera Nair is a fitness trainer who has been in the industry since 1991. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in Personal Training and Group Fitness training, the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) for Group Exercise, and Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S–VYASA) for yoga/yoga therapy.
For over two decades, Meera has motivated hundreds and thousands of people to lead a healthy lifestyle. Her mission is to help people understand that physical fitness means more than just having a healthy body; it requires emotional, mental and spiritual well-being, too.
She has trained people of all ages and from all walks of life. However, her passion for fitness goes beyond just training; she is a motivator and a role model, practicing what she preaches. She believes that any form of physical gives you encouragement, empowerment, strength, vitality and confidence.
When it comes to her own fitness, Meera particularly loves anything to do with Nature like long walks, trekking, Yoga by the sea or Pilates at the park. She also loves to work with weights for muscle strengthening and endurance.
Meera is an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who understands the importance of assessing clients as individuals and focusing on their personal requirements and goals when designing tailor-made fitness programs. She covers areas such as obesity and weight loss/weight gain, and offers flexibility and functional training as well as specialized training for people with limitations, teenagers (for more life balance) and women over 40.
Before creating a program, Meera will thoroughly assess the fitness of the client.
Training is then based on that level of fitness and typically encompasses the following elements:
- Pilates & Yoga for balance, flexibility, muscle and core strengthening
- Resistance Training with tubing, TRX, free weights, machine weights
- Cardio Respiratory Training – outdoor/indoor
